
Herlik Wibowo is a Ph.D. candidate in theoretical low energy nuclear physics and a Fulbright scholar at Western Michigan University. He is currently working as a graduate research assistant in the Physics Department at WMU. Besides research, he is passionate about teaching and learning.
He has received some awards from WMU Graduate College and College of Arts and Sciences such as:
- 2017-18 Graduate Research and Creative Scholar Award for departmental scholars category.
- Haym Kruglak Graduate Student Teaching Excellence Award for the 2017-18 academic year.
- Graduate Research Assistant Award.
- Graduate Student Travel Grant Award.
He has also earned some prestigious scholarships, including:
- Presidential Fulbright Indonesia Presidential Scholarship Ph.D.
- George and Jean Bradley Graduate Physics scholarship.
- Leo R. Parpart Physics scholarship.
He has presented his research in American Physical Society Division of Nuclear Physics Meeting and Nuclear Structure Conference. His work also appears in the Physical Review Letters. He is a member of American Physical Society and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. In his spare time, he loves to cook and listen to Jazz music.
