Introduction

I attended a five-day Graduate Student Teaching Intensive (GSTI) program in the summer of 2018 and joined the One-Year Mentoring Program. The end goal of this mentoring program is to construct a teaching e-portfolio. Initially built for fulfilling the requirement of the mentoring program, my teaching e-portfolio serves as substantial evidence of my strengths, effectiveness, qualities, and accomplishments as a physics instructor.

I categorize the sections of my teaching e-portfolio into four tabs, i.e., Teaching Philosophy, Teaching Responsibilities, Teaching Observations, and Teaching Developments.

Teaching Philosophy

The reader can find a two-page document of my teaching philosophy here.

Teaching Responsibilities

This section contains information about the brief description of PHYS 2060 lab course that I taught in the 2017 Fall and 2018 Spring semesters at the Department of Physics at Western Michigan University. I also describe in detail my role as a lab teaching assistant in this section.

Teaching Observations

This section contains information about my statement of teaching goals accompanied by the documentation about my teaching observations conducted by my fellow lab teaching assistant in 2018 and one of the GSTI mentors in 2019.

Teaching Developments

Finally, this section contains the narrative of my experience as a mentee in the GSTI One-Year Mentoring Program and the evidence of active participation in four cool tools workshops held by the Office of Faculty Development (OFD) at Western Michigan University.
